Prerequisites

4080-223 Game Software Development III, 4080-330 Interactive Digital Media, 1016-206 Discrete Math for Technologists II, 1017-211 College Physics I.

Main Focus

Primarily deals with creating and applying basic physics principles such as springs, friction, elasticity, collisions, etc. Depending on professor, it can be in one of several languages such as ActionScript 3 and C++. Generally the class is split into 2D and 3D parts, however some professors only focus on 2D.

Expect a heavy workload as well as a midterm and final.

How to survive

  1. Manage your time well - This class will be demanding but extremely rewarding.
  2. Go over any readings and perhaps future readings.
  3. Get help if you need it from either classmates or the professor.
