A Pinball machine is an arcade game that utilizes electromechanical subsystems to allow the player to manipulate one or more metal balls in a playing field for their enjoyment. The objective of the game is to obtain the highest score on the given Pinball machine. Pinball Machines have various scoring elements that allow the player to score points in different ways. The placement of playing field objects will affect the difficulty of a given pinball machine. Pinball machines have been a staple in arcade rooms for since the 1930's. The previous MSD Pinball Machine Team had not finished their modular design due to Covid-19 closing RIT campus. The end goal this year is to create a static playing field design that will be shared with the Strong Museum for their Pinball exhibit. The Pinball machine will also be shared with the Pinball History course at RIT. | Project Title: RIT Pinball Machine Project Number: P21362 Project Family: Start Term: 2201 End Term: 2205 Faculty Guide: Jerry Adamski Primary Customer: Prof. Stephen Jacobs Sponsor: RIT MSD Program |
