Intellectual Property Considerations
If there is technology created that is worthy of a patent, the MSD team and the Abhyankar Lab would be co-authors of of the patent.

Team Values and Norms
List six values your team will operate by:
Honesty
Put your heart into it
Showing each other grace
Openness/creativity
Have fun!
Flexibility
What is one thing your team can do to develop trust this semester?
Being consistently honest with each other
Be there for each other
Take responsibility and keep your words
What is one conflict strategy your team can use?
Sit down and discuss
Courage to bring things up
What is one action or step your team can take to foster commitment across all team members?
Allocation of similar workload to each person
Try to split the fun work to everybody and play to each other’s strengths
How will you hold team members accountable?
Everybody is responsible to read each other’s standups
Set up deadlines
Give feedback to each other
What are the key results your team wants to achieve this semester? How can you measure progress?
- Bioprinting/Biomaterial
Choose material to use
Incorporate cells
Focus on a specific application (wound healing patch?)
Accurate pressure system (biocompatible)
No clogging (look into crosslinking method)
Imaging cells in the print
- Electrical/Mechanical
Automation (pressure system, nozzle movement)
Printhead mounting
Add different settings/modes
Use of CAD software
Other Team Resources
Meeting, build, and test space
- BME lab in Institute Hall - 3060/3062
- 3D bioprinter prototype and materials left from last year's MSD team
- RIT Lab Safety Training
Communication
Customer Point of Contact
- Customer: Dr. Vinay Abhyankar
- Preferred method of communication: (1) Slack, (2) email
- Expected frequency of communication: As needed
- Customer availability for each of the 5 reviews: Will schedule closer to each review
Team Member to Handle Customer Communication
- Communication Manager: Ramsey Doolittle
- All team members will be cc'ed in customer emails
- Pre-read documentation will be shared with customer at least 24 hours before the review
Expectations for within-team communication
- Slack will be used for stand- ups, communication with guide and customer, action items, and other official business
- GroupMe will be used for quick and informal communications
- Guide will be included in Slack communication regarding stand-ups, meeting arrangements, and other official business
- All team members will be cc'ed in within-team messages
