Newspaper and magazine advertising

Advertising is used to announce and give information about a product or a service in order to induce people to buy or use it. Advertising is usually done through mass media such as newspapers, magazines, radio advertisement, TV advertisement, and the modern way of internet advertisement.

The oldest and most used mass media in advertisement are Newspapers and Magazines. The reasons for their popularity is their reach, affordability, flexibility and impact.

Newspapers offer affordable ad rates, which benefits small businesses on a tight budget. Magazines are usually read by highly interested audiences for there are specific magazines for many kinds of different topics. This allows you to reach an audience that is interested in the products that  relate closely to the topic of the publication. Magazines are usually in full color co for strong creative design.

Advertising is also considered to be a form of art, since it has the main role in success of a selling company. “Advertising is without doubt an art form. It can nurture interest, however superficial, in new movements in art and design, bringing these to the attention of huge audiences.” (Glancey)

Name of the group: ScienceArtists

Topic: The Relationship Between Science and Art

My part was explaining the relationship between art and physics.

My role it this part was to explain was to explain the connection between art and physics. It can be said that physics charts its unseen working while the art interprets the visible world. If we take a look from one perspective, physics and art are two completely different ways of perceiving the world, but sometimes these two disciplines interact with each other by creating fascinating results.

Maria, Popova . "Dreamers and Storytellers: E. O. Wilson on Art and Reconciling Science and the Humanities." : n. pag. Web. 18 May 2014.

Both Physics and art are trying to reveal the truth without using words, with physics using the language of numbers and experiments, and art using sculptures or visual images.
The connection of these two, art and science can be used in schools, because explaining science, such as physics through visual artistic illustration is more fun and easier way to understand the laws of physics, and it also increases the interest by young and hopefully future scientists.

In the class presentation, we have performed a physics experiment. In this experiment we have had two balloons.

                            http://www.sublimescience.com/free-experiments/how-to-put-a-candle-out-with-a-balloon.html

One baloon was filled with air and one was filled with water, when we brought them close to the fire, the balloon with air exploded, because the rubber that ballon is made of became so hot that it could not resist the pressure that was inside of the balloon. While the ballon filled with wetter did not explode, because the water absorbed all of the heat that was released through the fire, so the rubber could not become hot and thus did not break.
