NOTE: These steps only need to be completed upon initial set-up and can be done from the RIT network or from mymail.rit.edu
Integrating Outlook calendar with Starfish from the RIT Network

- Login to Outlook.
- In the Calendar toolbar, click Share Calendar.
- An email window will open.
- In the To... field type the address starfishcalendar@rit.edu
- In the Details dropdown select Full details
- Click Send.
- Access Starfish through:
From the Starfish homepage, click the navigation Menu in the upper left corner of the screen
- Click the arrow next to your name to display a drop-down menu
- Select Appointment Preferences
- Scroll down to the Calendar Sync section, and check the box labeled Allow Starfish to read busy times from my Outlook calendar.
- Click Save Changes in the bottom right corner.
- Click the navigation Menu in the upper left corner of the screen
- Click the Appointments tab at the top of the Starfish page and then click the Week tab
- Your Outlook appointments should now be visible in your Starfish calendars; if they are not showing, try refreshing the Starfish page
Integrating Outlook calendar with Starfish from mymail.rit.edu
- Navigate to https://mymail.rit.edu.
- Click the blue Click Here for Exchange Online button.
- Enter your RIT username and password, and click sign in.
- Click the Calendar icon in the navigation bar on the left side of the window.
- Click the Share button at the top of the page and select the calendar you are sharing.
- In the new window, add starfishcalendar@rit.edu in the textbox field.
- In the dropdown select Can view all details and then Share.
- Access Starfish through:
From the Starfish homepage, click the navigation Menu in the upper left corner of the screen
- Click the arrow next to your name to display a drop-down menu
- Select Appointment Preferences
- Scroll down to the Calendar Sync section, check the box labeled Allow Starfish to read busy times from my Outlook calendar.
- Click Save Changes
- Click the navigation Menu in the upper left corner of the screen
- Click the Appointments tab at the top of the Starfish page and then click the Week tab
- Your Outlook appointments should now be visible in your Starfish calendars; if they are not showing, try refreshing the Starfish page or logging out and then back in.
