Go to start of metadata
  1. Access Starfish through: 
    1. myCourses by clicking the Starfish button or the hyperlink
    2. SIS by clicking the Starfish button in your faculty center 
  2. From the Starfish homepage, click the navigation Menu in the upper left corner of the screen
    1. Click the arrow next to your name to display a drop-down menu
    2. Select Appointment Preferences
  3. Choose your preferences.  
    1. Under Basics:
      1. Choose a Minimum Appointment length (recommended 15 or 30 mins).
      2. Choose a Scheduling deadline preference. Note: The Scheduling deadline is imposed based on the start time of any office hour block, not the start time of an individual appointment time slot. 
      3. Check the box to Allow drop-ins after the deadline has passed if you wish to include a note in your calendar that informs students that they cannot schedule a meeting after the deadline, but they can walk-in after the deadline has passed if the time is still available.
    2. Under My Locations: 
      1. Add an office location by clicking the greed add button next to Add Location.
        1. Select the Type of appointment (Office, Phone, Elsewhere, or Online)
        2. Name the location (Building name and room number)
        3. Add Instructions for the student such as "Please check in at the front desk" or "Knock on door if closed"
      2. Add a phone number as a location for phone appointments.
      3. Add any other location you might use on a regular basis. 
  4. Click Submit.
