Name of Concept: Hotel/Restaurant of the Future
Overview of Idea:
Cornell has the Statler Hotel. RIT needs to have a green hotel of the future on campus that would contain the Hospitality & Service Mgmt faculty, staff and classrooms. The hotel on campus would be a great place for prospective students to stay while visiting, right on campus!

One thing the alumni association has been considering is an Alumni House on campus. Perhaps these two ideas could be combined, with a full hospitality and business meeting concept that would make a space for alumni and RIT guests?

The on-campus champion would be the School of Hospitality & Service Mgmt.--undergraduate and graduate programs.
Not only RIT people would want to stay at this hotel/classroom.
The hotel would also be a perfect place for international students to do a co-op.

How does the RIT Inn & Conference Center fit into this concept? Doesn't the Inn & Conference Center meet most of the criteria that are being proposed?
