Retrieving Exams from myCourses
You can transfer an existing myCourses quiz to Respondus. This can be helpful to make clean print-outs of your exams as myCourses on myCourses are not designed to be printed out.

How to Retrieve an Exam
- In Respondus, click the Retrieval tab.
- Click the Retrieve Questions button.
- If you have not yet set up a Desire2Learn (myCourses) server, choose - add new server - from the Desire2Learn Server dropdown menu.
- In the window that appears select Yes, check for preconfigured server settings and click the Next button. This should download the proper server settings from RIT.
- Enter a name to describe the server.
- Enter your RIT username and password.
- Either Run connection test (recommended) or Skip connection test.
- Click the Next button.

Once you have selected a Desire2Learn Server, click the Next button to connect.
Info Connecting may take a few minutes, depending on the number of courses you have and during busy times of the academic term such as midterms and finals.
- Select the Course to Retrieve from, Assessment Type, and enter a Name for the new file in Respondus.
- Click the Next button.
- After your file has transferred, you will see a Completed successfully message. Click the Finish button to confirm.
