RIT will permanently shut down the RIT Wiki (Confluence wiki) on February 2, 2024. Review the Wiki Shut Down Overview for information on alternative tools, exporting content from the wiki, and other FAQs.
Opt In
All faculty, staff, and students have access to certain Google Apps through their RIT account. However faculty and staff must opt into this service. If you have not used the Google Apps with your RIT account before:
- Go to start.rit.edu.
- Click Google Preferences.
- If prompted, log with your RIT username and password.
- Then follow the instructions on the screen to opt in.
Log In
Most Google apps can be accessed via Google Drive or from the app switcher once you log into Google Drive.
- Access https://drive.google.com/.
- Click Go to Google Drive.
- Type your email address in the following format for the username: abcdef@g.rit.edu (note the g. added to the email address, this is important for accessing the RIT login).
- Click Next. This will route you to the standard RIT login screen.
- Sign in with your RIT username and password.
If you need to access additional apps, click the icon with nine dots 
next to your name.
