Outcomes of Payload Design

So in order to help us secure funding, more advisory help and better group support and growth, we need to have a satellite in mind. The product of 104 will be at a great technology state and the payloads we've been outlining can do the same.
We seem to love competition as this group, so the race this semester is this: who ever has a better put together and more technologically capable payload by Imagine RIT presents in the field house! Our goal is a tabletop demonstrator that integrates with the devkit and impresses people.
Our long term goals coming out of this semester is to be prepared for the CSLI and ULA Launch Opportunities and better ask for funding and development support

ImagineRIT Design:

Field House:
  • HAB I
  • DevKit
  • CubeSat Flight Frame
  • Best Looking/Most Engaging/Most Complete Payload Concept
  • Give Away HABS (From Helen's idea of tiny payloads on inflatable balloons)
SPEX Hall, In College of Science
  • Telescopes
  • Payloads
  • HAB
  • Senior Design Projects

Leadership search:

Right now, we have something that works, so we'll phase it in. We'll find the leads for HR, EDU, Outreach and Development, as well as the Director and Deputy Director.
With the way HAB and astrotracking is handled, all of the payload project groups or independent work groups will need to find a leader within their own group (we're thinking of beta testing the review rather than voting process). As for Director and Deputy Director, the search will start next week for my replacements!
