Mark-ups made on student submissions from both the Turnitin Online Grading tool and the myCourses Annotation Tool are inaccessible to screen readers. Instructors are not able to add alternative text and there is no association between the submission content and the annotation. When leaving feedback for students who use screen readers, instead use the comments field in the grading workflow to type detailed text feedback. Alternatively, if the submission is a Word document or PDF file, you can download the submission and use commenting in Word or Adobe Acrobat Pro to include inline feedback, then upload the marked up document as your feedback to the student.
