When using LaTeX with the Equation Editor in myCourses equations are inserted in block mode by default which can disrupt your layout.
To have LaTeX equations displayed inline you must wrap the formula with \( and \) as delimiters for inline mode when you are entering it into the equation editor.

Example
Below is an example of a quiz question with the equation displayed using the default block mode. In the sample image the equation is not inline and in the preview it is displayed centered on it's own line.

When inserting the equation the formula is wrapped in \( and \) as delimiters for inline mode.

When entering your text, only the equation is inserted as a LaTeX equation, the leading and trailing portion of the question is text entered into the traditional myCourse HTML editor. The sample below shows the equation inline and selected in the traditional editor.
