Logging into https://slack.com with an RIT email address is not the same as using the Sign in with RIT button to sign in properly to RIT's domain. If you are having trouble joining workspaces, adding users, or otherwise using the Enterprise features of Slack, this may be because you are using a free Slack account and you are not signing in properly.

The only way to be part of the RIT Enterprise Grid and get the enterprise features is to use RIT's single sign on.

If you are not part of any RIT workspaces yet, Join the RIT Community Workspace to activate your account on the RIT Enterprise Grid.

If you are already part of RIT workspaces, you will see the workspaces listed at the top of the page for you to open.

Note: Your display name in Slack will be a combination of your Preferred Name from the RIT directory and your RIT username. You can change your Preferred Name at https://start.rit.edu/ and it will update everywhere RIT displays the Preferred Name.
