Unfortunately the vendor does not provide a method to make a course-wide or account-wide default.

A recommended work-around is to make a blank quiz as a template, then instead of making a new quiz in the future make a copy of your template quiz.

Create a Template Quiz

In Quizzes, click the New Quiz button to create a new blank quiz. Give the quiz a name as a template that makes sense to you, then set up the Submission View and other settings to your common choices. Save your template when it is all set.

The copy will be a 100% clone, so generally you do not want to have questions or specific dates set in your template.

Make a Copy of the Template Quiz

When you are creating a new quiz Make a Copy of your template quiz instead of using the New Quiz button.

You will now be in the new copy of the quiz and can begin adding questions and customize the settings specific to this quiz offering.

There is no connection between the template and copies made from the template, the new quiz now stands on its own. Making changes to the template will not change or update any Quizzes made as a copy of the template previously.This page has been moved to the new CTL Knowledge Base.
