Setting Up the Questions and Quiz Settings on the Video

1. In the Panopto web portal, make sure the video is stored in your Panopto course folder.  Move (not copy) the video, if needed.

   1. The video must be in your course folder, not your My Folder so that the Classlist in myCourses can properly synch to the permissions in the Panopto course folder. The permissions will be important for a future integration enhancement that will allow passing scores to gradebook.

2. Add quiz questions to the video.

3. Insert the Panopto video in your course as normal.

   • Use the due date in the myCourses Content settings to share the date to the students' myCourses calendars.

Viewing Quiz Results in Panopto

1. After all of the students have completed the video quiz, return to the Panopto web portal.

2. View the quiz results from the video settings.

Manually Copy Grades from Panopto to myCourses

Due to security limitations in the current Panopto integration, the quiz score is not currently able to be transferred automatically to the myCourses gradebook. Instructors can enter the grades using a manual process.

1. From the quiz results in the video settings, download the CSV of the results you want to use in myCourses. Open this file.

2. Open the Grades tool in myCourses. Manually type the grades into the gradebook based on the Panopto CSV you downloaded.

Using a Video Quiz Next Semester or in Another Course

When you copy the course forward, the video in myCourses is still linking to the original video, therefore all future submissions to a video quiz will appear on the same results page in Panopto Settings. It does not differentiate which course the student is associated with. Instructors can leave all quiz submissions together in one list. Or if you need to separate the one set of students from the other in the results then do the following:
