The myCourses Rubrics tool can help you be more consistent in your grading by evaluating an activity based on predefined criteria. Rubrics can also provide students with feedback on areas of strength and that need improvement.
Rubrics can be attached to assignments, discussions, and portfolio evidence, but cannot be attached to quizzes. Attach the rubric to the activity itself not the grade item if a myCourses activity is used. Attaching the rubric to the activity helps students see the rubric information when doing the activity and streamlines the instructor grading process.
