Initiate PhD and undergraduate degrees in Materials Science

Materials Science will become a real department, instead of the "virtual" program we have today.

Novel developments in materials will ... enhance sustainability and recycling, produce new materials for use in devices, to maintain pace with Moore's Law, produce new biomaterials for medical implants and prosthetics, etc.
