Over the past year, there were 14 new cases of cancer presented on the municipality of Obiliq, where the major cause of this disease is considered to be the high environmental pollution in the municipality.

The power plants of Corporation of Electricity of Kosova (KEK), located in Obiliq, are the main cause of environmental pollution and health related diseases.
