  1. Access Starfish through: 
    1. myCourses by clicking the Starfish button or the hyperlink
    2. SIS by clicking the Starfish tile on the Teaching, Advising & Support page
  2. From the Starfish homepage, click the navigation Menu in the upper left corner of the screen
    1. Click the arrow next to your name to display a drop-down menu
    2. Select Edit Profile

  3. On the Edit Profile update and edit your information in each of the sections below:

    1. Profile Settings Box
      1. Preferred Login Page: You can select the MyStudents tab or the Tracking tab to be your default landing page upon login
      2. Share Links: These are Direct Links specific to your calendar and Starfish profile. To use a Direct Link for either appointment scheduling or your profile in Starfish, click the Copy URL to Clipboard button. Once copied, you can insert the link into the location of your choice (emails, email signature, etc.).


    2. Contact Information
      1. Username: This is populated from SIS and can not be changed. 
      2. Institutional Email: If you have multiple RIT email addresses, the first address in alpha order will display as your "Institutional Email"This is populated from SIS and can not be changed. 
      3. Alternate Email: If you would prefer to use a different RIT email address, add the address and then select "Alternate Email" or "Both" 
      4. Phone: This information is pulled from SIS, if it's inaccurate you can update in the box
      5. Cell Phone: If your cell phone is stored in SIS, it will display here.  Students will not have access to your cell phone number
      6. Video Phone: If you have a video phone, you may enter the information here. This number does display to students
      7. Time Zone: For RIT global campuses, check the Display all time zones box and then use the Time zone drop-down to select the appropriate time zone


    3. About
      1. Title: Complete the section if desired, the description provides ideas of what could be included
      2. My Biography: Complete the section if desired, the description provides ideas of what could be included
      3. General Overview: Complete the section if desired, the description provides ideas of what could be included


      4. Click the Save Changes button to save all changes you have made to the page
