I would like to tart this presentation from a quote that my grandfather once told me : a picture is worth more than 1000 word. Well t’s a fact. Vision is the strongest of all the senses. This seems to be true in our modern society, since everything that is supposed to attract out attention is done by visual communication. Recent research supports the idea that visual communication can be more powerful than verbal communication, suggesting in many instances that people learn and retain information that is presented to them visually much better than that which is only provided verbally. T In everyday life, we are all consumers of graphic design. From the products we buy and the books and magazines we read, to computer games and Internet graphics, visual communication designers play a role in a variety of media and technologies to target, engage, entertain, and motivate an audience. Moreover, the visual communication design professional today must possess the creative sensibilities, the communication skills, and the strategic business acumen to understand different audiences and multiple mediums. These visual and technical skills are enormously valued by the business community, advertising agencies, product designers, and design firms, each needing individuals who work fluently with multimedia and emerging communications technologies.
