How can I download videos? I have a poor internet connection and want to watch videos offline.

Many edX courses allow you to download videos and will have a "Download video file" option under the video.

However, some courses (ex: Project Management) have licencing requirements that do not allow downloading of videos. In these cases, if you need to learn material offline, you can do one of the following:

  • Download the transcript text to read. The transcripts were designed so that you could learn material even if you cannot see the videos.
  • Use the mobile app to save videos to the app for viewing offline. Instructions are in edX's Learner Documentation.
