Team Vision for Integrated System Build & Test Phase

Summarize:

  • What did your team plan to do during this phase?
    In this phase we planned to Integrate the RealSense for full functionality, the particle filter, and ensure accurate functionality of safe zone. This would allow us to have a complete demo for which our golf cart is capable of functioning autonomously. 
  • What did your team actually accomplish during this phase?
    During this phase we developed a mitigation plan for how to best move forward with our APM project with the drastic changes introduced by the recent COVID-19 outbreak. We have setup a plan on how to document our current work so another team could come in and finish it. By documenting detailed information on how to get started and outlining the future plans, we hope to minimize the time it takes to figure things out and get past the learning curve of ROS, Linux, and the APM vehicle itself. We took time to figure out where we left off and can give future plans and ideas for the phases that follow.

  • As a team, where do you want to be in three weeks at your next demo with your customer (if you haven't already done this)?

    • Have a fully documented code for the next team to be able to pick up where we left off. Also create a video on how to operate the golf cart with previous videos that we have and some screen recordings of our current code with explanations. Create future work that could be done to improve the golf cart.
