I worked on group 1, Political parties in Kosovo. My work there was to put information for the Democratic party of Kosovo, PDK. I choose to write about this Party because I was interested to know more about the history of the largest political party in Kosovo. It was a good idea, because I searched information that I didn't know before for this Party.
The first thing I did while starting to add information about PDK was to add an anchor on wiki page.
Then in paragraph one, I added information about how Democratic party of Kosovo is the largest political party and the year it was created and how firstly it was named by Kosovo Liberation Army, but a few years later it was renamed again. I mentioned the leader of the party, and how his position changed in 2016.
In the second paragraph, I talked about parliamentary elections since the declaration of independence. I mentioned that Hashim Thaci, the leader of PDK, made a coalition with the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR). Based on final elections together they formed a government subjected to EU integrations. I also mentioned the members of the government.
In the last paragraph I
The Democratic party of Kosovo is the largest political party in Kosovo. It was created on May 14, 1999 by the Kosovo Liberation Army as the Party for the Democratic Progress of Kosovo, but was renamed on 2000. On 2009 PDK win the elections and the party increased. After they win the elections of 2010 PDK regenerate its governing mandate. For 14 years the leader of the party was Hashim Thaci, but later he take the position as President of the country, so Kadri Veseli came in the head of the party in 2016.
On December 2010 were held the parliamentary elections. Kosovans organized elections for the first time from the declaration of independence. Based on the results that we had from the parliamentary elections Hashim Thaci gain 32 per cent of the vote, supposed victory for the Democratic Party of Kosovo, PDK. With 30 per cent of the vote or more, Thaci made a coalition with the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR),that was leaded from Behxhet Pacolli that was the president of AKR. Based on the results of the final elections, PDK and AKR formed a government with a program subjected to EU integrations.
The members for the new government were almost younger generation like: Bedri Hamza, Memli Krasniqi, Vlora Citaku, Petrit Selimi, Blerand Stavileci, etc.
According to Wiki Page: “Seven out of 10 current mayors belonging to the PDK are suspected, have been charged or convicted of abuse of office and other criminal activity. Sami Lushtaku of Skenderaj has been sentenced to 12 years for war crimes while he is currently being investigated for a corruption case. He ran for mayoral reelections and is serving in office both from prison. Nexhat Demaku of Drenas has been sentenced to one year and is being investigated in another case. Salim Jenuzi of Dragash was charged but found not guilty. Bajram Mulaku of Vushtrria and Begzad Sinani of Kamenica were investigated but not charged. Sinani is again under investigation for alleged illegal hunting.
