RIT will discontinue use of Adobe Connect on July 1, 2020 in an effort to streamline supported technology at RIT.

Recordings Currently in Adobe Connect

You need to determine which recordings you want to keep and download those items out of Adobe Connect by 11:59 PM Eastern on June 30, 2020.

Instructions:

  • If you no longer need a recording, delete it from Adobe Connect.

  • If you do not own the recording you use, contact the owner of the recording to coordinate future use of that recording. If you don't know the owner or the owner no longer works at RIT, contact Academic Technology Support.

Conducting Synchronous Meetings Going Forward

All synchronous meetings should now be conducted in Zoom. The last day to conduct a synchronous meeting using Adobe Connect is June 30, 2020. However, we recommend that you do not schedule any new meetings in Adobe Connect after May 8, 2020 to provide you time for downloading your recordings and to prevent switching tools mid-semester.

Also update your summer and/or fall courses to change any links and instructions for synchronous meetings to Zoom.
