You can transfer an existing myCourses quiz to Respondus. This can be helpful to make clean print-outs of your exams as myCourses on myCourses are not designed to be printed out.

You must take the one-time action to add myCourses as a server to Respondus before retrieving exams, please visit Add myCourses as a Server - First-Time Use if you have not done this already.

How to Retrieve an Exam

  1. In Respondus, click the Retrieval tab.


  2. Click the Retrieve Questions button.


  3. Once you have selected a Desire2Learn Server, click the Next button to connect.

    Connecting may take a few minutes, depending on the number of courses you have and during busy times of the academic term such as midterms and finals.

  4. Select the Course to Retrieve from, Assessment Type, and enter a Name for the new file in Respondus.


  5. Click the Next button.

  6. After your file has transferred, you will see a Completed successfully message. Click the Finish button to confirm.
