This is the home to the Multi-Campus Environmental Research and Media Collaboration space. This Wiki space is for use by faculty and students of the participating courses and campuses - 1) RIT ROCHESTER, 2) the 2 RIT CROATIA (ACMT) campuses, ACMT Zagreb and ACMT Dubrovnik and 3) the RIT KOSOVO (AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IN KOSOVO) campus. This project develops a multi-campus, student-designed, web-based interactive environmental research portal. The coordination for the project will be housed at RIT KOSOVO (AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IN KOSOVO) and managed by Professors Daniel Cosentino and Michael Waschak.

The Multi-Campus Environmental Research and Media Collaboration Wiki space is intended for student and faculty collaboration, development of knowledge repositories, development of course materials and project management, as well as for document sharing and editing. Students new to this collaborative learning tool should take a moment to review the contents of the RIT Wiki "User Documentation" (https://wiki.rit.edu/display/ritwiki/Home) and view this simple, fun and informative video "Wikis in Plain English" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dnL00TdmLY). The Multi-Campus Environmental Research and Media Collaboration project will accomplish the following 3 Goals:

PROJECT GOALS:

  1. Connect the Campuses via Shared Course Content. Connect the environment policy faculty between RIT ROCHESTER,  RIT CROATIA, 2 ACMT campuses in Zagreb and Dubrovnik, and RIT KOSOVO (American University in Kosovo). Connect Media & Policy faculty & students providing real clients for Media students and professional outlets for Environmental Policy content.
  2. Increase Student Involvement and Engagement Across Campuses. Encourage students to meet each other across campuses and build friendships through collaborative working.
  3. Raise Awareness of Environmental Conditions. Increase awareness among RIT community about environmental conditions among the 4 campuses.

EFFECTIVE WEB DESIGN and INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY collaborators goals:

  1. VISUAL COMMUNICATION. Build visual solutions for information rich clients in the Environmental Policy courses.
  2. UNDERSTAND CLIENT RELATIONSHIPS. Address visual design challenges from the client perspective.
  3. STAGE PLANNING. Plan and implement multimedia and dynamic data within the design planning stages.
  4. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/ GRAPHIC DESIGNER / CLIENT INTERACTION. Work with client data and input to build functional database and visually appealing data delivery solutions.
  5. PREPARE MEDIA AND IT STUDENTS FOR APP DEVELOPMENT and OTHER SOLUTIONS. Prepare team project parameters for future media solution.
