Static Validation
The static validation proved the accuracy of the model and its cameras. Test targets were hung in the room obscuring each other to demonstrate the array's ability to focus on objects at different depths. The targets were created in the model identical to the originals. Images were captured from the real array and the virtual array. These images were run through the program. The model's test matched the real array exactly. The videos of the test are below.
Dynamic Validation
A similar test was run with a moving figure and a static figure. The figures were animated in the model and the images were captured for each frame from each camera. Then, the scene from the model was recreated using real people and the images were captured by the array. Both sets of images were run through the program. The test showed that the model is functional and accurate. The videos of the test are below.
