Disclaimer
Before beginning the download process, be aware that the process takes place in real time. This means that it will take as long as the duration of the original meeting to process and save the file to your computer.
Additionally, this process requires the use of the Adobe Connect Add-on. If you are using an RIT managed computer, you can download this application from the Software Center.
Accessing Your Recordings
- Log in to connect.rit.edu with your RIT Computer Account.
- Click the “My Recordings” tab.

- Hover your cursor over the recording row that you want to download and some buttons will appear:

- Click on the “Information” button for that recording. You’ll be taken to a meeting details page:

Downloading Your Recordings
- On the meeting details page, click on the “Actions” menu and select “Make Offline”:

- After selecting this option, you will be prompted to open the Adobe Connect application. This application is required for the download process.
- If you are using an RIT-managed computer, the Adobe Connect application should be available for you to install from RIT’s managed software list.
- If you don’t have this application installed, or if you are using a non-RIT-managed computer, there will be a download option from the prompting page.
- After the application has launched, you’ll be presented with a confirmation pop-up. Review the warnings and click "Next".

- The next popup is the download settings pop-up. Choose the MP4 file type. You may wish to adjust other quality settings, depending on the original recording and the intended use.

- Click the “Proceed with Offline Recording” button.
- You will be prompted to select a location to save the file locally. Select your preferred location and click “Save.”
- At this point, Adobe Connect will playback your recording and save it locally. This process takes place in real-time, so each download will take as long as the duration of the original recorded meeting.
- Once this process is complete, Adobe Connect will display a summary pop-up:

- You can now navigate to the location your file was saved and verify it saved properly. To verify it, open the file and confirm it can be played back in a video player application.
Note: If the original meeting was live-captioned, the captions will be included as open captions (burned into the image) on the mp4.
