Starfish is a communication tool that allows your course instructor to easily inform you if you become at-risk in the course. Advisors assigned to you also receive notification of the instructors concern. Instructors and advisors can then take a coordinated approach to help you utilize campus resources and develop an action plan.

Accessing Starfish

If you are trying to log into Starfish and have never logged into SIS, you may experience the error message below.

Please log in to SIS and wait until the next day to allow time for your information to sync from SIS to Starfish.

Sync Your Cell Phone to Starfish

Make it easier to receive information from your instructors and advisors by adding contact information and signing up to receive Starfish communications via text message (in addition to your primary university email address).

To have Starfish emails sent to your mobile phone:

Open the navigation menu  and click your name, and then Edit Profile to open and edit your profile.
• In the Alternate Email field click the more information icon () for a list of common cell phone carrier email address formats. 

• Enter the email address of your mobile phone in the Alternate Email field. 
• Check the Also send notifications to my alternate email address box.

Schedule With Your Advisor

Use your personalized My Success Network page to schedule an appointment with your primary academic advisor.
