Students in all majors can use the Expressive Communication Center to create and record presentations. Camera/microphones are provided. Peer consultants are available to coach students on presentation preparation and delivery. Students can download video recordings as a file, which can then be uploaded to Panopto and submitted to the assignment (instructions below).
Use the built-in camera on your mobile device. The video can then be uploaded to Panopto and submitted to the assignment (instructions below).
Use the Panopto Capture recorder in the browser or on certain mobile devices (not yet supported for Apple mobile devices). This tool can be accessed by clicking the Panopto link in the course's navigation or from the myCourses Assignment submission text box (Insert Stuff button). You will need to have your own webcam/microphone. This option will automatically upload the video to the Panopto folder your instructor has set up, however, the video must be linked/embedded in a myCourses Assignment submission to be considered "submitted" (instructions below).
Review General Recording Tips for advice on making good recordings.
Students can use the Panopto web portal editor with any videos recorded in Panopto or uploaded to Panopto from another source (e.g. file created in the Expressive Communication Center).
Students can generate automatic speech recognition (ASR) captioning on their videos and edit the ASR captions.
